About the event
The stunning 13.1-mile route takes in many of the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
The money raised by this event for The Royal Parks helps to keep the magic of eight vital green spaces alive, teach children and adults about the natural world, care for wildlife and conserve historic monuments.
Job description
As Baggage Team Leaders, you will be responsible for managing a team of volunteers to support the overall baggage operation.
This role needs strong attention to detail. You'll also need initiative to ensure a smooth process in your area, as well as a caring attitude to support the welfare of your team. This role will involve manual handeling throughout.
New for 2026: We're also looking for team leaders to support on Saturday 10 October for the RBC Race for the Kids, supporting the work of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

When is it? Saturday 10 - Sunday 11 October 2025
What are the shift times? 8am - 6pm Saturday / 6.30am - 4pm Sunday
Where is it? Hyde Park, London
What will I be paid? £16.24 per hour, paid within 2 weeks

Is there good public transport links? Yes but engineering works on the Circle and District lines is explected for this weekend. There's more info here. Please check your route beforehand.
Is there bike parking? Yes, subject to availability.
Is there car parking? There's no dedicated parking, but limited on-street parking may be available nearby. This is not reimbursable.
Are meals provided? No.
Is this role open to anyone? Past supervising or team leadership experience would be desirable. This is an active role where lifting may be required throughout.
Is uniform provided? A hi-viz will be provided. Please wear a black t-shirt, black trousers/shorts and comfortable shoes. Bear in mind you'll be moving around and on your feet for most of the shift.
Do I need to bring anything with me? Please bring a water bottle with you and snacks / pack lunch as food places may not easily accessible.
Do I need to have specific experience to apply? Please have a read of the job descriptions carefully to ensure you're an ideal match for these roles. We'll be asking your past work experience at your phone interview.
Is there training that needs to be done beforehand? No, all training will be provided upon arrival.
Is accommodation provided? No.
