About the event
The most exciting racing on water returns to UK shores in 2026 for the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix Portsmouth. After a stunning debut in 2025, the Rolex SailGP Championship is back on Southsea Common with 13 national teams set to battle for victory on the tumultuous waters of the Solent. With spectacular grandstand views of the flying F50 catamarans and unforgettable Après-Sail entertainment, it will be the best race of the summer.

🎟️ Race Stadium Entry Lanes
Be the first friendly face fans see! Welcome guests, scan tickets, answer questions and direct them to the right queue, all while representing SailGP with energy and pride.
💎 Lounge Ambassadors
Guide premium ticket-holders to their exclusive areas with top-notch hospitality and help ensure they have the best experience, smoothly and in style.
🏟️ Grandstand Stewards
Manage entry points to the grandstands, keep walkways clear, help fans find seats and ensure everyone enjoys unobstructed views of the racing action.
🥗 Catering Assistants
Provide efficient support across the staff and team catering venues in Portsmouth and at the Tech Base in Southampton, ensuring everyone is fuelled for their day.

When is it? Saturday 25 + Sunday 26 July 2026 for the majority of roles
What are the shift times? Most roles are 10am - 6pm
Where is it? Portsmouth & Southsea, Hampshire (with a Catering Assistant roles in Fawley)
What will I be paid? From £14.24 per hour (inc holiday pay) for staff roles, paid within 2 weeks of the event

Is there good public transport links? Yes. There's good public transport connections to the seafront.
Is there bike parking? Yes.
Is there car parking? No. There may be limited on-street parking nearby and this cannot be reimbursed.
Are meals provided? No.
Is this role open to anyone? Yes, anyone can apply. Living locally would be ideal.
Is uniform provided? A t-shirt will be provided.
Do I need to bring anything with me? No.
Do I need to have specific experience to apply? Customer-facing experience is essential.
Is there training that needs to be done beforehand? No. All training will be provided on arrival.
Is accommodation provided? No.
Is travel reimbursed? We'll pay an additional hour (£14.24) per person, per day to contribute towards travel expenses.
