It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the BERA Annual Conference 2026, returning to the University of Manchester. We are delighted to bring together such a vibrant community of researchers, educators, and practitioners to share ideas, inspire debate and showcase the latest in educational research.
We're recruiting a large team of staff to work across wayfinding, cloakroom, technical support, registration and seminar room support roles.
The details
When is it? Monday 7 - Thursday 10 September 2026 (you must be available for all 4 days)
What are the shift times? 9am - 6pm Mon / various shifts between 7.30am - 8.30pm Tue / 7am - 5.30pm Wed / 7am - 7pm Thu
Where is it? University of Manchester, M13 9PL
What will I be paid? £14.24 per hour (inc holiday pay), within 2 weeks of the event

Is there good public transport links? Yes.
Is there bike parking? Yes.
Is there car parking? We'll confirm this soon.
Are meals provided? Lunch and refreshments provided.
Is this role open to anyone? Yes, anyone can apply. You must have excellent English communication skills. You should be able to work all 4 days.
Is uniform provided? A t-shirt will be provided.
Do I need to bring anything with me? No.
Do I need to have specific experience to apply? Staff must have a proven track-record of good customer service, outgoing & friendly attitude, maintain a professional experience, be punctual for every shift, be approachable to all delegates and be able to use their own initiative.
Is there training that needs to be done beforehand? No. Monday is a training day for all staff - this is why its key you can attend all 4 days of this project.
Is accommodation provided? No.
Is travel reimbursed? No, there is no travel reimbursed for this event.
